Johnson 6 Gallon Mile Master

Just got a NEW to ME 6 Gallon Mile Master Pressure style Fuel tank for my 1955 25 HP Johnson ( RD- 17 ) That im in the process of bringing back to lifr. The Tank needs over-haul, Im looking for the Fuel pick up tube with the check valve and the screen on the bottom after looking all over Finaly tracked one down at VintageOutboards and the quoted 65 bucks ! OUCH ! This cant be right Can it???/ Is it possible to make one Please Help... The one I have the screen is broke off and pretty bent up with rust and the valve does not seem to work properly Thanks

Heck, you can get the whole tank for less than that.

laings, has the rebuild kits, but the pick up tube is not part of it. just the gaskets and o rings. NOTE: there are 2 type tanks, black plastic button, and the metal button, these require different kits. you can get another tank on ebay for a lot less. i resently sold a refurbished one for $90. it paid the majority of the cost for my fuel pump conversion, on my 58 35 hp johnny.

i don't know the specifics, of your motor, i had a 55 15hp, but this is the conversion to single line on my 35. http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=205628
