I bought this engine with my boat last year, it had a broken lower tray around were the hood latch is.
I have just bought after a long time looking a Evinrude 5 hp lower tray that fits perfectly, But when i put my hood on the assemble is in the hood but there is nothing on the lower tray to secure too.

So does anyone have a lower tray catch i could buy?

In Devon you have a good parts supplier at Kingsbridge .. Willsmarine.

Failing them Oakley Marine (aka outboards direct) in Brighton are good.

the 5 hp model does not figure in the American parts lists. I bet it is a Belgium made one not sold in the US.

I think you will find what you need ( and probably most other parts ) will be the same as the 6 hp models. Possibly the catch will be the same as the 4RD models

If you dont get a satisfactory response from Willsmarine try Oakley.

I recently wanted a new carrying handle. I did the on line enquiry thing to Oakley Marine. Charles Oakley, I think it was, phoned back within a few hours and I ordered the part then and there. It took a week to get it from Belgium but as not exactly urgent that was no problem ... got the last one in stock.

I know they have also helped users of the YBW.com forums with parts for pretty old engines as well.
