Johnson 55 flywheel nut differences

Trying to get correct flywheel nut for 87 55 hp tiller. Part number is 0326111
The damaged one on the right in the picture is what I need. 2 ebay sellers sent the one on the left in the picture. How important is it to have the nut style on the right in the picture? Thanks

I can’t say for sure but my guess is you will need the extra height of the original to get the recoils components on and still catch enough threads on the crank. Just a thought.

That is the wrong nut they sent you. That part # does not look to be superseded. So you need the taller nut.
