Correct. It has a displacement hull or could even be considered semi displacement at best. They are intended to carry more weight and be a bit more stable going to and from land and your big boat.
That type of hull has very little lift so getting it on a place is not easy.
Tim, did you look at my Suzuki thread?

Yes the boatex was available in a ssilabke version, with sail daggarboard and rudder. Not really upgradable due to the daggar board hole missing

The 6 is also a 72. For the 6 the only real difference I see between the 70s and 80s is electronic ignition on the newer ones. Whereas with the 4 the 80s ones added needed bearings so you can run 50:1 instead of 24:1 safely. Am I missing anything?

The 6 has a longer tiller with throttle on it which I think will make it more comfortable to use on my boat

You left out fixed jet carbs, or jets under the cowling and many other upgrades....at least most refer to them as "upgrades"

i think the 70s 4hp ran good on 50/1
I've read a lot on this forum saying that due to the lack of needle bearings it's advised to run them on 24:1 for longevity. I'm certainly no expert on this but it does seem to come up quite often. I think they added the additional needle bearings in 78
