I have a 76 Johnson 2 hp I am rebuilding carb on. I removed the two needles for lean/rich at idle and fast. Now I can’t remember which one goes where. One is fine thread and one is course but they match the brass nuts that I also removed. One is a little longer than the other. Can anybody help me out?

Thanks for your help!
(Update) I got the carb back together and it still won’t start and run. If I remove the spark plug and squirt some fuel in the cylinder it will fire and run for a few seconds. So I know I have a fuel issue. I got a kit from Amazon and rebuilt the carb, new fuel lines and filter, new shut-off valve, new plug. Any help would be appreciated.

I have a ‘76 Johnson 2 hp that won’t start. . I got a kit from Amazon and rebuilt the carb, new fuel lines and filter, new shut-off valve, new plug (also new water pump and lower unit oil). If I remove the spark plug and squirt some fuel in the cylinder it will fire and run for a few seconds. So I think I have a fuel issue. I have the slow/fast needles screwed all the way in, not sure how they are supposed to be se to start it. Any ideas would be helpful, thanks.

Really ?----Those needles are like your kitchen faucet.----If closed nothing can come through.-----Open them one turn and a half for upper and one turn for the lower.-----Motor should start and keep running.------Then you MUST make adjustments in the water and on the boat.
