Primer nipples are free flow as when the primer is off it is the check valve.
Thanks, I'm finding that out. Can you tell me then what specific fuel
inlets need a check built in. The rest of mine are not checked either. Looks like the feeds into the crankcase/reeds are checked.

yes the only check valves are in your pic for intake manifold. get a piece of hose and try to blow in to all of em. or a syringe with booze in it. any amount means must be replaced. the only other check valve feeds the top bearing from bottom of crankcase, and its the big grey plastic one.

So not trying to overthink this lol!
I grabbed some temp. clear fuel line so I will be able to see flow on recirc lines.

No need...start it up and pull the line. Valve should spray fine mist like paint can, if dribbles out or blows blobs valve needs cleaning or replaced

Today was a fantastic day!
Started replacing recirculation hose and worked over to ea. check valve fitting.
Majority of valves did not check. To me that is awesome because I can finally put my finger on a specific issue. Not trying to overthink it. LOL.
So I have them sitting in acetone and I'll check them in the morning. Thanks to you guys I learn something new and appreciate that.

Dump em out quick as the earlier valve had nylon balls and acetone will damage the plastic. Rinse em out with syringe and 50:1 mix the check to see if salvageable

Any ideas then of what to use to break down the clogged valve.
I'm thinking then to take to work and blow @80 lbs air thru them.

Still working away on it. parts delivery install. Put some reeds back in and need to get some new screws for 2 others.
Caught a byline after installing the Boyeson reeds on this ole gal. I need to drop all my idle carbs orifices by 5 points. IE; #47 idle speed orifice to 42
other from 34 to 29. Hopefully get fired up this weekend.
Anyone have an opinion on the boyeson reeds and orifice changes. Seems to be pretty definitive whereas they won't warranty unless you make the changes. Read a lot of misinformation on the subject.

Yep...One lean spit/backfire the reed will split or break a tip. Better to go with CCMS or Tony D's reeds as they are direct replacements.

No personal experience with these reeds but I haven’t hear many good times them.

Thanks T, I'll keep all in the loop. I em Boysen eng. and they replied by late afternoon. They were requesting my engine specs etc. Sent that so we'll see where that takes me.

Boysen responded to my info and said exactly what the warranty info said. Just wanted a confirmation. They used another boat part dist. as an example for parts. I didn't know they were in Pa. Responded to confirm idle jet #5 needs downsized.

    Please see attached picture of the carburetor in your engine. You will want to richen up the low speed idle air bleed jets (Item # 3 in the attached picture) by downsizing 5 sizes. The stock idle air bleed jets in your engine should be # 42, # 34, or # 35.
