i have a 1959 johnson 18 hp the lower unit is shoot i have two evinrude 18 hp one is running the other is blown up got it for parts i was wondering if the lower unit would work on the johnson 18
I believe you will be in good shape if they switch lower units as a complete unit, of course, according to which year you have to swap. Lots of years will swap out as long as you swap them as complete units.
