I have a 1999 Johnson 150 outboard that runs well...but sometimes just dies...takes a bit to get it started again...will run great then maybe die again. Any thoughts??
Thanks

check compression. then when it quits check spark immediately. you have to do some trouble shooting at the time it is being bad.

You need a timing light or spark tester to see if the ignition has failed when it quits out. Could be power pack failing when heated up.
Get a manual for it, save yourself a ton of dough in mechanic fees.
