I have a 1999 Johnson 150 outboard that runs well...but sometimes just dies...takes a bit to get it started again...will run great then maybe die again. Any thoughts??
Thanks
You need a timing light or spark tester to see if the ignition has failed when it quits out. Could be power pack failing when heated up.
Get a manual for it, save yourself a ton of dough in mechanic fees. www.outboardbooks.com
Thanks...the power pack has been replaced...wondering if maybe fuel issue from sitting...used carbon guard..would you know which way the primer solenoid is supposed to be?
