Johnson 150 leaking oil ?

I have a 1986 Johnson 150 that was recently rebuilt (just started breaking it in) that has oil running down the lower unit after running on earmuffs for a few minutes.

I'm running 25:1 premix for break in, so is this the excess oil that is not getting burnt ?

I've checked the lower unit oil, which is fine.

Plugs are not fowled.

The motor runs great (so far idle to fast idle), very smooth idle, no missing.

The oil, looks like premix, drips out from the bottom of the cowling piece by the two holes in the lower unit below the powerhead and down by the prop.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: Johnson 150 leaking oil ?

You may mean that you have oil leaking from the back of the engine-coming out from the lower cowling, just above the exhaust relief holes in the midsection. That is not normal.
