JC Penny 7.5 hp Outboard

I have an old JC Penny brand 7.5 hp motor. Does anyone know who the manufacturer was? Also, it has no spark. It has solid state ignition. What usually goes bad?<br /><br />Chris van Wolbeck

I just had one fixed. It is a te***seh engine. The lower unit is Eska. Want to sell it? I'll give you $50 plus shipping if the lower unit is good.
