It must be absolutely miserable to live up north and have such a short boating season!

... but then again, y'all do have that really cool ice fishin' and we don't have that.

"2 weeks HAHAHA" (you guys deserve it!!) :D Winter starts in Enderby.
(Now those lower mainland folks really deserve it, the island folk, not so much as they get their butts kick at least once a year good.)

Have to pull the carbs on the sled and do a good cleaning and get rid of the old gas in the tank, I think it has a ton of water in it.

Snows starting to accumulate around 4500 feet I bet.

Re: It's freezing out

all y'all jazzin us about having winter don't be too smug. Winter makes us appreciate spring & summer, gives us time to sit by a fire, & look out on a cold night's moon. Lots of other good stuff too. Skiing, snowmobiling, snowballs, no lawn mowing. But that gets offset by snow plowing & snow blowing.
Plus my boat gets some great treatment each spring before getting in the water. I'm debating whether to recover my interior this winter. Hmmm...

Re: It's freezing out

I do miss going out on snowmobiles.

One of the funnier things that has happened to me at our office was a temp who we had working there last year had an Arctic Cat jacket one morning. I couldn't help but ask why in the world she would be wearing a snowmobile brand in Tennessee. Turns out on the weekends she and her boyfriend would drive from Nashville up to mid-Michigan to run the sled. That's 20 hours of driving to sled for maybe 8.

I hate not having seasons...

No boating today, but this was my lunchtime run. Got down to 70 F. Almost had to put on a long sleeve shirt.
