Looks like new from afar on this end!
Gave the motor a quick and dirty paint job. It's far from good but looks good from afar!
She got a new tilt switch too, my old one would go up but not down, I tried to crack the sealed case open to repair the clicks button but broke it, so I just installed a momentary toggle switch with a rubber boot over it.
trial by fire makes it fun! Especially inexpensive fire. I almost dont want mine to be complete so I know I have something to do with off time.
Boat is looking good there hayko, cant wait to see the pin stripes added.
Always a few steps ahead of me Hayko. Nicely done. Did you seal and paint the deck or is that just exterior paint? I cant decide if i want to mess with this spar stuff on that many pieces of wood that size.
The motor looks great from Texas..
Did you countersink all the deck rivets? Are you going to fill them in to make them level with the deck?
Looks great all the way around..
It's getting closer to splash day..
I painted it both sides 3 coats of porch and floor paint. Should be sealed up okay plus it will be covered with vinyl.
I think it looks great! But that's coming from a guy with the ugliest outboards in this forum :watermelon:
Looks great and now that you reached the pivotal moment when the decking goes in. After that the rest seems to fall into place pretty fast and you have a boat again rather than a tin tub in the driveway. You're going to be on the water before you know it, keep up that forward momentum!
One piece of advice for you on that knee brace. I would drill a few holes all the way through and put in some SS machine screws and nylocs. I really don't know how long those blinds alone will hold up to the stress.
Great progress Rob, looks like you got everything done you planned to over the long weekend. Your weather must have been better up there than it was down here.
