issues registering a abandoned boat.

ok so im about to try to register this old boat that was in my backyard when i bought my forclosure home 2 years ago.
what do i have to do? what forms do i need to fill out and what paperwork do i need? just trying to find out what to expect.
the boat is a 18 1/2 foot and i think it is a 76 but the hin number is missing.
so i guess i need on of them to.... what would i have to do to the boat for it to be considered homemade?

Go to the DMV or what ever it is in your state, Ask them.

12 ears ago in GA I had a friend come with me to DMV and sign papers stating another person gave it to him. In and out. I would suggest you call them with this scenario. Otherwise I had to have the owners signature.
