There is no image. Only the word "Attachment" in light blue as a clickable link. Clicking on the link displays a blank page.

EDIT - I have to add a Supreme Mariner recruit with 100001 posts is cool. Or we're worse off than thought.

Yep ^^^

PB IMG code pasting works, resident upload/attachment paperclip dongle doesn't, it appears to work to the poster, where it is shown as an attached pix, but the rest of us get the attachment link that goes no where or nada........

Here's your post.

I used the paper clip lookin thing on the left corner of quick reply to post this image. I did find out that the advanced text editor image button does not work .

I've been having that exact problem for days. I can see the images fine on my machine in the thread after posted, but everyone else says they can't see 'em.

Here's an image upload using the icon in the upper right of the post pane:

Well ... now I can't even see my own images! All I see in the post is the "Attachment" link. I'd post a screen shot, but ... ;)

I'm not using hosted images on Photobucket or anything ... uploading directly to the forums. I know using Photobucket can fix it, but I should be able to direct upload. Not a big deal for me, just pointing out a bug. If it becomes important I'll grab Photobucket or something.

Weird, on my side I can see the image. I'll work with the programmers on this one, thanks for finding this bug.

I think you see the image because it's on the computer you're driving when you post so the linkage works. If you renamed or deleted the image, your post as you view it would lose the image also.

Using the paperclip linking is just that, making a link to an image, in this case on your computer. The image isn't uploaded as when using the advanced editor. That's one of the reasons a photo hosting site works nicely, the megabytes of storage are on the hosting site and iboats isn't used to store tons of pictures. Looking at some of the recent comments about "How do I get my pics back?" lead me to believe many are/were using iboats as their photo hosting site for post related pics.

LOL, no problem :D. Kinda' low hangin' fruit right now, y'know?

Another wierd-ity I've noticed a couple of times: If I'm viewing a thread in a window (I use Safari, haven't tried anything else) and close the window, normally I could hit <Reopen Last Closed Window> in the HISTORY menu and I'd get the same thread back. Right now, I'm just getting a blank window. It seems consistent (having just tried it three times).

Funny, been having this issue from the start and brought it up, but got beat to death about solving my issue by just using photobucket! Glad to see someone agrees that "I should be able to direct upload" Thanks!! If I have too, I will also go to Photobucket and use my existing account. :)

Off course, why wouldn't we use iboats for hosting pics since it used to allow you to post and store in a library, decent sized photo's? Very convenient!!

Very simple - Because it's not working right now, You have an alternative method that does work. Toneeees said he and the staff are working on a fix and and until it's in place, use PB. No use complaining about it any more, is there?
