Is my motor an Evinrude

Hello, my name is John. I recently purchase a 1995 Nitro 170TF Rick Clund Addt. I do not think the motor on it is the original motor that came with the boat. It is a V6 but the motor case has no name on it. I have looked all over the engine for a serial number and the only number I can located is R8289772 on the top of the motor. I have searched the internet and can not find anything other than it seems to be an Evinrude. The other number I did find on the other side of the top of the motor is 092868. I am looking for some help identifing the manufacture of this motor, the HP and the actual year of the motor. Thanks.

Yes, post pictures.
Sometimes the Rxxxxxxx number is the serial number of a (factory) rebuilt power head in Evinrude-world.

Thats for the reply.. I am posting pics tomorrow. It is very possible the motor is rebuilt because when you take the cover off the engine it looks almost brand new it is so clean.

OK so i have tried to upload some pics but I keep getting an error message. It says the file is to large. Any suggestion? This is my first time using this site. Not sure if there is something I need to change. I upload photos all the time to facebook and through email and have never had this problem.
