Sure seems like we went from late summer to late faall weather fast... I spent my Saturday afternoon changing the engine oil, draining the block, installing a drain insert on the hose feeding water to the power steering cooler, removing the batteries, and pulling the outdrive for basement storage.

Always kind of sad to put the boat away for the winter.

It's over for Blind Date. Where's the nice weather we had yesterday while I was at work?:blue:

YUCK - the pitfalls of slipping a boat in a lake all season. No signs of zebra mussels on it though.

Every 5 Years they lower our lake 5' for service of docks exc so this is one of those years hence I took the boat out within the first week as it was already 1' down!
I haven't had time to do anything but wash the bottom off and I pulled the engine drain plugs the other night before temps dropped. I'm going to need to change fluids/ fog it and run some stabilizer through soon. I wanted to pull the outdrive and re-paint plus do an Impeller but might need to wait till spring since it's getting cold and I'm too busy.

Unfortunately I've tarped my boat on very cold days it's flurrying on average so I'm sure this year will be no exception:(
