Yes I am with Chinewalker it is over powered and could weaken the transom and also cause issues. I have 20hp on my 13' and it is only rated for 15hp. had to strengthen the transom to hold the motor, plains out very fast, as a 3 blade 9 pitch made for 14-16 size boats.. the boat with the light weight will want to raise the nose out of water so put a whale tail on it too.. Scary Fast!
