Here is a photo of the flooding along the Missouri river. What you are seeing is one of Iowa's "Riverboat" casinos. The big fear? This riverboat was never designed to handle water like this... Somehow I see an irony in that.
The riverboats are just barges madeup like Rose Bowl parade floats. I think if one or 2 of them fail there will be design and safety changes in the future.
... and don't forget this years extremely heavy snowpack melt from a little further up north too! You'd think those northern boys would've figured out what to do with all that melting snow by now besides sending it down south.
