Interpreting HIN

Is there a way to "run" a HIN and get specific info about a boat? Any online resources?

Ayuh,.... To a point anyways,....

The 1st few letters designate the Manufacturer,+ the last 2 digits are the year....

I think TD has a listing somewhere.....

For starters use this to get in touch with the factory IF they still exist.
Or use it to "Google" for user groups.

I wanted to post this, to show you what a HIN should look like. I've run across two boats in the last year that people have listed for sale as being one year newer than the HIN says. I don't understand it, because the last two digits (most common way) clearly show the year of the boat!
