installing lowrance Elite 5 dsi

Has anyone fitted the Lowrance Elite 5 DSI combination plotter

I am amazed there are no detailed electrical hook up instructions.

Can I wire this into the existing fuse panel, any help would be much appreciated.

Yes you can but if you have any interference problems you will need to make a direct run to the battery.

Thanks, installed it yesterday, looks great, mounted it on my cup holder with mods, went direct to the fuse panel, not been on the water yet, so will bear in mind your advise about interference.

I had previously fitted a small courtesy light and a couple of underwater lights, both have isolator switches so added
the Lowrance to the same terminal block seems to work o.k.

I just installed an Elite-7 HDI. I couldn't find a good place, so built a shelf out of a cheap cutting board. Doesn't block any gauges and is in just the right spot for viewing. I had an unused accessory switch on the dash, so just use it for power. I'm not that impressed with the downscan imaging yet, but maybe it will grow on me.

Same here - It hasn't really helped me identify fish, the sounder works fine alone. It is interesting to look at, but for anything else :noidea:
