Info on side mount shifter

I'm needing to replace my shift control with shift cable and throttle cable but I'm not sure how to pick the right shifter for my application. Info on boat 1990 dynasty elante mercruiser 5.7 gen 1. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Why do you need to replace the controls?

I believe that the cable that was installed is wrong and the control is extremely loose I tried tightening set screw but it is seized up tight.
