The drive is supposed to come off every year for bellows, gimbal bearing and u-joint inspection along with checking alignment

I would pull the drive
Hello
Does anyone have a good video link that shows how to take off the stern drive and the bellows. I can’t find a good one that shows all of it.

I couldn’t find a shift bellows video. Does anyone know if I need to pull the whole cable out from the engine compartment or is there another trick?

yes cable needs to get unscrewed at bellhousing and pulled back , then change shift bellows.

You udo the shift cable end at engine, pull the cable core out the bellhousing by (drive end). I run a weed whacker wire up cable back up cable and tie off on engine. Pull outer cable out leaving weedwhacker wire to guide cable back in and around the exhaust Wye pipe and flywheel cover. replace bellows. Put shift cable back in, use Power tune or some other type of lube to get cable in new bellows. I use a zip tie instead of factory crimp clamp to hold bellows to shift cable.

GET A FACTORY MANUAL! All this is shown in there and will be invaluable to help a first timer. I would consider doing your other bellows as they are likely similarly worn. Exhaust bellow wont hurt anything but driveshaft bellows will sink a boat and f up ujoints and drive seal

Ok
Going to tackle this baby tomorrow and I’ve looked at a few videos about this and I’m confused what way the clips should be installed on the bellows. Some videos say the clips should be at the top and others says the bottom. Can anyone clear that up which way they should be installed? Again, thank you everyone for taking your time out of your day to help me. It’s so very much appreciated.

Hello
Any trick how to get the shift bellow onto the new shift cable? I’ve tried white grease. Any ideas would be great. Been trying to get this puppy on for 2 hours now.
