hi everyone im new to boating well was using an inflatable but my partner has brought me a boat for a project anyway its all new to me my boat is 9ft by 4ft and is made of fibre glass and is basically just a shell at the moment i need advice on what to do to the inside first basically i have stripped back to base getting rid of the old paint and loose fibre glass but now im stuck i want to strengthen it now more for piece of mind as it is quite solid my question is what type of fibreglass do i use there are so many matting fleece etc ? next question i can see that there used to be wooden struts going across the width in four places do i add new ones ?
once i have strenghend the base i want to add some sort of floor but what i thought was to add foam under it to add more bouyancy is this wise?
also when ready how should i attach seating to the boat ?
and last of all for now does anyone know what type of boat it is classed as
i have added pics of what base inside now looks like and a pic of boat to find out what it is
