impeller rotation direction

I'm installing an impeller in my 94 50hp mariner. Should I twist it into the impeller housing clockwise or counterclockwise. Forgot which way it came out....

Turn the driveshaft clockwise when viewed from top.

Put a dab of dishwashing soap onto the impeller then press the housing onto it while turning the driveshaft.

that is correct..I use grease..i am sure soap works great

I use soap cause it's water soluble. That way, i'm sure grease won't clog the water passages...
