does #of fins on impeller matter, bought new one before opening mine up and mine has 10 fins and is in good shape still, i assume the casing is supposed to be oval(weird i thought but read that ahead of time) the new impeller has 6 fins w/no inner sleeve and my old one doesn't come apart it is permanent, but if #of fins don't matter i would get on with inner sleeve and keep for spare
