Ignition wiring 1974 Johnson 40 hp

Help I need a wiring diagram for my engine The wires are Red with a blue stripe- purple with a white stripe- purple - white -blue with a white stripe - blue if anyone can help with this it would be great nearing boating season serial # 40el750 just found out it is a 1974 not 1969 engine

Where are you finding those colors? Those are not correct for that motor.

they are from the plug from the motor that came with it
