Ignition question (new to Suzukis

Hello all, I acquired this motor with a bad lower that turned out to be a simple broken pin. I was going to flip it but kind of like it and want to put it on my fishing boat. I bought a controller for it on Ebay that did not come with a key. I am trying to figure out which type of key I need. I don't know the year of the controller but by looking at diagrams and parts list I think is an '86 or up, based on the shape and location of the fast idle lever. The only number on the key switch is 17, no 3 digit number anywhere. Any advise or help would be greatly appreciated.

have you talked to your local Suzuki dealer to see what they say on how to find a key

Pull that barrel out an there might be a number on it. If it’s anything like yam or merc…you’ll get a key on eBay for it crazy cheap.

The number is on the inside of that controller and it's a single nu6
