ignition coil?

i was wondering if any one could tell me if there was a difference between a marine ignition coil and an auto ignition coil. all help is greatly appreciated

There is a difference.In some cases you can use an auto coil,just make sure you buy a coil with an internal resistor.But buy OEM if you can. Jerry
