Do you have alot of presure from the tank to the motor is the pump bulb have presure in it in the line? Also have you changed the plugs?

Try changing the plugs wires and also try hooking up a different fuel tank. See if any of these things work. You may have a bad hose or fuel pickup in your tank so use a comp diff tank and hose line. If these dont wrork take the fuel pump out and change the diafram if this dosent work change the coil and if that dosent work take the carb out and clean it! If it needs a rebuild kit there cheap and easy! For a motor to run you need fuel spark compression and air. Somthing is off and these are the only issues it can be!

191Seanymphstriper:Are ya talking about the fuel pump an diagfram thats on the fuel tank?An what coil should i look at? i just put in a new rebuild kit,an new spark plugs today, but i did find that the fuel lines that go from the carburetor to the fuel filter were cracked an had a possibility that they may have been sucking in air,but i wasnt able to start the motor cause i got done a little late,so i will find out tomorrow. Thanks for the response

What rebuild kit did you buy? Meaning for what part was rebuilt?

Also when i said the coil I am talking about the (coil) is what gives current to the spark plug wire that gives ignition to the spark plug.

Also you need to replace all those gas lines with cracks in them for piece of mind , reliability and also it can be loosing suction if theres a holes in them and you could be getting air.

Also make sure theres oil in the fuel otherwise you will burn up the motor or if the motor has a seperate tank under the cowl to put oil in make sure its full if its oil injected.

And make sure when you crank it up you have water in a bucket so the motor can cool and pump water while your running it

Also buy a carb rebuild kit and rebuild the carb. Its cheap and easy and will give you piece of mind. It will also be another prob to check off the list.

Listen. If its not running take the fuel pump off and rebuild it. The kit is very cheap. Change the diafram and this can cause it to be not getting enough fuel presure to keep it running. Hope I helped. GD Luck

Compression good? Spark good? Are you getting fuel to the carb? You can bypass the fuel by simply pumping the primer bulb filling the carb bowl with fuel. It should run for a short time with just the fuel in the carb bulb.
You can keep an engine running with a bad fuel pump by pumping the primer bulb. It may be time to overhaul the carb.

yes but if the diafram is really bad it will just flood 1 cyl and still runn ruff and not come up in idle on all cyl! Changing the difram is a good idea to rule that out!

If you have to use the choke to keep it running you have a carb problem. When you overhaul the carb make sure to remove the core plug on top of the carb and clean the passages underneith.

Re: idleing problem.Help please!!

I drill a small hole, 1/8", in it and pop it out with a pick. Be careful and don't drill to deep, just go through the plug and stop.

Re: idleing problem.Help please!!

There are some small holes under the core plug that can clog up and cause all kinds of low speed and idle problems.
