Identify this part plz?

Just need to know what the round piece that you can see in the pic is called. It's right behind where the gimbal bearing goes. It's smashed all around the edges aa you can see in the link to the pic. I think it's the drive coupler but not sure. What's a new one cost also? Alpha 1 gen 2 BTW. Thanks.

Wait for others to chime in, but it looks like it could be part of the rubber gimbal bearing seal. Idk. There's a rubber seal behind the gimbal bearing. I wonder how that thing could have gotten all beat up? Let's see what the experts say. I'll be watching your post.

My guess is the gimbal bearing seal also, but the seal is a non-issue. just helps keep the excess grease from slinging off the shaft from excessive use of a grease gun.

I agree, it looks like the seal/shield behind the gimbal bearing.

If that's the case it's probably beat up from the jaws of a puller used to remove the bearing.
No big deal. It's just to stop excess grease from being flung around.

Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,.... I agree, that seal is no big loss, don't worry 'bout it,.....

On the other hand, it looks like the u-joints mighta scuffed the bellows, nearly through, at 'bout 11:00 in yer picture,....
That can happen, startin' it with the trim full Up, 'n turned to full port,.....

Thanks alot for the info guys. I was worried it might be part of the drive coupler. I'll just leave it as is. Putting a new gimbal in today. Also replacing the shift cable bellow. Oh, and a new prop after the gf grounded us at 30 mph but again, thanks for the info. Best news all day!!
