Identify parts

Can anyone tell me what this part is. It has leads going to the battery and a fuse.

first pic looks like a fuse holder . second pic mite be a hour meter but I could be wrong the pic is small

I have no idea what the box is. Is there a part number on it by any chance? And can you tell where the other end of the plug goes to? Tossing thoughts out.

The box and fuse is part of the Volvo Penta corrosion protection system like this one for example,

Something like the Mercruisers , Mercathode System.
Something to stop corrosion.
The first is a fuse holder. Open it and see if the fuse is good.

Fun Times : You are exactly right. Thanks for the link also. I replaced the engine, and did not remember this on the inside transom. When I did not know what it was, it drove the wife crazy, and she posted it here. Thanks Dave-R
