Ideas for my dash

Ok know that the vinyl is almost finished looking ahead to the the next upgrade. The last vinyl that will be changed is the dash panel I would like to upgrade the dash. After looking at pricing for gauges I will keep the ones that are in the dash it looks like they all are working. I am going to replace all the faded fuse holders. I think i am going with some carbon fiber vinyl to cover the aluminum plate. 3 questions any suggestions for this upgrade, any suggestions for cleaning up the gauges faded black trim and how in the He double hockey sticks do you get the steering wheel off. The center cap should pop off the steering wheel and you will find a nut behind it. Take the nut off and with any luck the steering wheel will not be frozen/corroded to the shaft and it will slide off.

oh....and by the way.......dont the photo bucket pictures look good?
no clickinh....nice and big.......love it.

ok.... alot of the guys are starting to look at a carbon fiber kinda looking sticker.
it can just go over the dash.

if you want to keep the oem alum paneld=s for your gauges....just take them out....and re paint the alum plates.
put in all new switches. thet little project will only take a week of evenings....and make your dash look great !
