Just have a quick question? Is there a certain tac I need to get for my motor? I would also like to know who to hook it up on the motor side? If you know of any youtube vid that I can take a quick loo at,I can't seem to find any.

PS. it is a 175hp

Tachometers are generic but don't buy an automotive tach. All it needs is +12 volts when the key is on. You make that connection to the +12 volt connection on any of the other gauges (normally marked "I"). It needs a ground connection which also can be made at any other gauge. It needs a light connection which is also available at any other gauge. The sense signal from the engine is typically the gray wire in the harness running from the engine to the control box.
