Missed this Matkat. I was looking for an excuse to keep bumping this up. Those New England and Wisconsin guys are getting kinda uppity and we need to show them how this is done <br /><br />Anyway, Havasu is beautiful and a lot of fun. However, it is definitely a party scene and many shy way from it because of that. We frankly enjoy that a couple of times a year. Early season you will probably see a good balance; some party, but not nearly as crazy as say Memorial Day or later.

I was just looking at the hotel link that I posted above Havasu Hotels . If you scroll down a little there is a room for the Nautical Inn for $139. That's a really good deal for on the water. You can keep boats there on the beach in front of your room. Very easy. Those rooms may be a little loud. The pic I posted here is kinda from the bar (The Naked Turtle) across to the rooms. A lot of spring breakers will be hanging out in this area. I might do it again although I am leaning toward camping. It was a lot of fun there last year . . .<br /><br />

Hey QC. Have you noticed that Lake Mead is up to 90% capacity! I'll bet with the good snowpack in the Rockies, we'll see 95 to 100%!! It's gonna be a great year!

Missed this DR. Funny, I was looking for this thread to bump it up and had to do a search, because it was . . . on the first page.<br /><br />Where are you getting 90%? The site I use is showing 1140 ft. (1210 full) which is where we were last year . . .<br /><br />On the Havasu deal, my BIL is going to go out on the Thursday before and secure Friendly Island. I have no idea how many sites he can get, but he says there is room for plenty of boats. My gang will have at least three boats there, so anybody who needs a shuttle should not worry. Also this map is the best I have found Fish 'n Map Co It shows Friendly Island and the other surrounding sites.

<<<< Bump <<<<<br /><br />See first page. Still planned for April 1st. I arrive on the 31st and will be camping at Friendly Island which is noted on map the previous page . . . I am suggesting that we will meet in front of the docks at the Nautical. Anyone that is not bringing a boat could be easily picked-up there and there is parking in the restaurant parking lot. I am thinking of moving the meet time back to noon as it is just warming up about that time of day. Thoughts?<br /><br />I will post a couple of boat pics etc., and some on-the-lake contact info when we get closer. A renewed roll call would be great!!
