I need some positive iboats vibes sent my way

Hi all. I had a scare today. My Mom and aunt both had breast cancer so I've done my duty and had my yearly mammograms and I had my recent one last Saturday. I got THE phone call this morning from the doctor. It wasn't normal. They found something; a thickness in the tissue(density?). I don't know what that means. Anyway I go in for a ultrasound Tuesday and then will be referred to a surgeon to get their opinions. I am scared to death! I'm only freaking 40 yrs. old! <br />I already had a hysterectomy due to cancer in 1997 and this may be related. Please spare some prayers. I'm usually the one praying for everyone else,but this time I'm asking for me. I am so worried. <br />Bassy

The whole purpose of having regular mammograms is to catch it early when they can do something about it, so the odds are in your favour that whatever treatment is recommended will work.<br /><br />Stay positive.

we are with ya bassy. dont let your mind get yourself all worked to quick. my wife also had the thick density reading and it turned out to be some kind of calcium growth that occurs as women get older. i forget exactly what the doctor called them. we also were very scared as her mother has both breasts removed. and she has had a lumpectomy done once herself. everything turned out find and i am sure it will for you too. i wish you the best.

Add ya right next to Mrs SS, she's been on there a few days. Hope all turns out well. As said that is the purpose of the mammograms, to find it early. You did right, I'm sure you'll be fine.
