I just bought a 2011 mercury 9.9hp 2 Strokes !!

Any tips before I go test it tommorow ?! =)
Will be my first time running a brand new motor... I think i need to break in right ?

Will be used as my main motor for fishing on my 14" fiberglass ... and I do have a small electric motor incase !

And I got it for 2099 $

Can't wait to run it !

I think the manual reads 25:1 oil for the first tank. run it a different speeds and not a wot for any extended time. up and down. till tank is done.

Just read the manual and follow the break-in procedures.

aside from reading the manual:
-learn how to connect and disconnect the fuel line without splashing gas on your hands.... <-- I did not do this at first and don't like gas on my hands.
-some car stations sell non-methanol fuel (the high grade).....I would put that in if possible....not all that important.
