The boy and me eat all the weeds and beat all the grass around my place during the week. I got 5 acres to keep beat down. It takes the youngun and me 3 afternoons after work to get it all done then we're free birds on the weekend. I agree with Sarabi, quit *****ing and moaning about it, get out there get with the program and then go have fun in your boat! You'll be happy and she'll be happy. Around my house when Mamma ain't happy, NOBODY is happy.

Got all the mower I need and can afford. The only reason I spread it out over 2 to 3 days is to keep from killing ourselves. Beachbabe, if it were up to me I'd pave the whole **** yard just to keep from having to beat the grass. I look at it this way.....I'm not in an apartment listening to every move the neighbors make and my closest neighbors are a quater mile on either side of me and I got fishing and boating water in the back yard.

I think so. The cool part about it is that the water in the back yard is all mine!!! 58 Acres of private lake smack in the middle of a 214 acre all wooded block with the exception of the yard that the house and shop sits on. We like it alot.

Man, it really sounds like you have a sweet setup there E.F. I never new paradise could be located in Mississippi. Congrat's, it really sounds like you've done well for yourself. It's alway's good to hear about the people that are happy in life, considering all the negativity that you hear.

Thanks 495V, lots of hard work, lots of late nights, lots of luck and a good timber market a few years back is the only reason I've got this place. If I can do it, anybody can. Hope to be able to hang on to it to pass on to my son one day. My lake is just now coming in to its own. We're starting to catch some pretty good fish now. The lake is only 4 years old and we're catching 1.5 to 2 lbs. bream and the bass fishing is good too. The largest one so far is 5 lbs.

Crab Bait, if you like goats and sheep, you probably wouldn't like my sisters. I do however, have a brother I'll be happy to set you up with. <br /><br />As far as 'who needs a wife', I guess that would be anyone who dosen't currently have one.

**** everyone getting all bent out of shape over a joke. Yes I had to mow the lawn and trim the hedges and set up the pool for the summer but I realy don't hate the wife. IT WAS A JOKE!!!! Sometimes things have to get done on the weekend while I am still working. I get 2 months almost uninturupted fishing time starting in about 3 weeks I can live till then.

yeah, everyone should know its all just joking around, at least i was... i would've quit before 14yrs together if not. its fun cutting on the opposite gender just as they do us... i can't say i love mowing, but i do like the look & smell of a freshly cut lawn. or maybe its the satisfaction of good running eqmt that is self-maintained that pleases me the most <br /><br />i won't start a new post, but just had to tell you all, i just found out the guys in the business next door are hardcore striper slayers, have a 21' CC rigged up to the max(i've been seein it inna parknlot),do guide service parttime, and are gonna take me withem free as soon as i put in my 2wk notice for a day o vacation!!! <br />(i tried to keep a straight face, but was feeling like i just won the lotto)

You men crack me up! I'm glad I read this forum! Now when my man tells me ANY of the things you have mentioned.....I KNOW how to respond.....heck.....I might even get a shopping trip or two out of it also! But I NEVER complain about the boat. I love it as much as he does. There is nothing like being outdoors weather or not its cutting the lawn or boating on the lake. If the sun is shining we are outside!
