I have been to 2 ramps where the pitch of the ramps were not that good. They were ok on low tide but not on hight tide. On low tide, I could bring the trailer all the way to the end of the ramp where water was deeper. Always got a scratch or 2 on high tide. Never went back to those 2. There are just ramps that were not designed properly and there's nothing you can do about them. Nothing...<br /><br />Your trailer seem short, maybe a foot short, but this is not the main reason you have problem launching or retrieving. The pitch of the ramp is not good. It's just too shallow. Looks like the same problem I had. And the side bunks may be causing too much friction and tightness. As I have said, I have no side bunks.<br /><br />Launching should be easier since all you had to do is bring the tow car's rear tire to the tip of the water and then make a sudden stop. This will slide the boat off the trailer. But then again you have the same problem if there's not enough water to float your boat.
