I got a johnsom/evenrude 35hp from 1957

It runs really good at high speeed and low speed but it misses alot in midrange. I think it is the power head but it could be someting else. Does anyone know what else could be wrong with it?

Please help, i would like it the run great for the Fourth of July.

Any help would be great

johnny look at the post 'Joe reeves can you post you high and low speed set. sound like yourcarbs out of adjustment a little. what makes you think it is the power head. do a compression check if around 100psi and with in 10% of each other the head is good. also look at the linc and sinc.
