Here in salmon arm bc the snow is still on the mountains at around the 3500 foot mark, in all my years living here all the snow would be gone except around the 5000 foot mark by now, and the rivers would be flooding.
the temp has been in the 10 to 18 c zone and has not spiked into the 20c plus.
What global warming.

Having lived in the NC mountains for a while, and a few visits to Canada, I would take the cold over the heat any day. At least when you're cold you can put more clothes on or build a fire. When its hot and humid like it is down here you just can't get any relief. And if you have a car that doesn't have A/C then traffic lights are your worst enemy.

Al Gore is never incorrect:p also it's now called "climate change" rather than "global warming" for good reason...here in Michigan we have just rid ourselves of the final chunks of ice floating in the rivers.

I love this time of year...it just took longer this year to arrive. Still in the 40s at night though so not quite ready to pencil in camping trips or all night fishing expeditions.

Be careful out there, someone might take offence to that and try to shout you down because your views don't match thiers. But for my two cents I agree with you. a lot of nonsence.

Re: I do not believe how cold this spring is.

And if the oceans rise, so be it, every coastal city is kinda built in a semi-temporary fashion. They know that at any moment, the whole city could get wiped out by a storm. They are willing to take the chance of getting a hotel destroyed every 20 years, because it makes so much money to build it right next to the ocean.

So moving the cost back a few miles will prob not be a big deal, when the seas rise, and a big storm wipes out a barrier Island city, they should just move the city back to the main land, and let the barrier island become a sand bar.

I lived is Salisbury, MD which is 30 miles west of the ocean. and they were 30 ft above sea level, so that may be ocean front one day.

And really there is not much between Salisbury and Ocean City. You live near the Sea, and this is the inherent nature of it, nothing is permenant near the sea.
