We recently had a floating dock system with a Hydrohoist lift installed. We went to put our boat onto the lift but we did not float easily over it. We would have to power drive on to it to get the boat on all the way. Has anyone had this experience before? I feel the dealer may need to some adjustments.

Welcome
Agree with above
Or look to see if chains are attached that keeps it from dropping all the way down. Another thing is if one of the tube vent holes on the bottom is partly covered by the lower strap band

I would assume the installers tested it so if it is not working to design or to your satisfaction then it is a warranty call imo.

Found a couple vids and they do talk about 'keeping extra air in' to keep the bunks higher in the water to help stop the boat when coming in 'hot' due to conditions so it sounds like it is adjustable with the amount of air involved.

Look it over to see what you see in the way of controls/settings

what model did you get? Add that to 'adjusting air' to the google search might help as well.

I have a HH lift for some years now, and have adjusted them my self. At first it was adjusted to back in so it goes full down. To pull in it can be adjusted by using chains to go from a slight clearance to touching like to drive on a trailer

We release the air as far as it would go.

If it is new as the poster made it sound, then it is up to the mfgr/ installer to make the necessary corrections and adjustments. I am certain this hoist wasn't cheap and the people that installed it should make it right..
