My 13.3 whaler with a 40hp evinrude is way bow high until the speed gets up enough to get it up on the step. With one person at the controls, one in the middle seat, and the gas tank and battery in the back, it is not terrible, but still bad. With just one person the bow will rise so high you can't see whats in front of you. I'm considering a hyrofoil as I plan to do some towing with it this summer as well, and would like to see where I am going at lower speeds. Is it something worth investing in? I've heard pros and cons about loss of speed, breaking cavitation plates, etc and wondering what others think. Any brand that is better than another?
Thanks
