hydraulic fluid question

hello all,

i wanted to know what type of hydraulic fluid should I put into the trim resovoir. Not sure what type of pump it is but I have the Mercruiser 3.0 Alpha One?? And can I buy it at my local auto store?

The service manual calls for 10W-30 or 10W-40 motor oil.

Ok so just to be sure, any motor oil of that weight you mentioned will work?

yes, it can be detergent, non-detergent, diesel or gasoline of that viscosity
might want to get a manual- if you're low on fluid, you have a leak
