Hurricane Fun Deck 196/198 owners

Thanks a ton in advance for the help. I’m going to pick up a 198 Hurricane (no trailer) and I need to know the actual width of the hull at the transom. Thank you!

What year? Earlier Fundecks were standard deckboats, later fundecks have a smaller beam and the pontoon top instead of the boat style.

In any case, most likely a hair under 8.5 for the boat style, 7'7" for the pontoon type.

I read the 7’ 7” online too but I don’t trust that based on other errors I’ve seen in their specs. Model is 1999 198. Looks the same for many years from what I can tell.
