Good morning, I have a humminbird helix 5 that reads perfectly, unless I go over 15mph, then it just cuts out altogether. What can I do to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

When running, at any speed, is there water covering the transducer? If air or turbulence is covering over the transducer, it can't work. It has to have a good water medium to transmit and receive results. Otherwise you are not transmitting into the water or receiving any return signal. Transducers like that can't work out of water.

Yes, there is water covering it, could be a lot of turbulence, though. I may slide it down and tilt it just a little more and see if that helps. I’ll keep you updated. Thanks.

Mine was doing the opposite when first installed, read great at speed, but not at a trolling pace. An angle adjustment fixed it for me.

Looks like the mounting block extends below the bottom of the hull.
All kinds of turbulence issues if it is.
