Hull cleaning

I've used the Star Brite Instant hull cleaner with great results. Our lake has a lot of tannins that stain my white gel too. I use TB cleaner in the fall to clean the calcium deposits off the motor, but it didn't take the tannin stains off the hull.

Make sure you wax after or the stain will return even worse. I had a great time waxing the entire underside of mine this spring. It sits low in the trailer and required some creative jacking and blocking so I could get under the trailer.

Ever get your boat so pretty you almost don't want to launch it for people that have zero idea what it takes to have it look and operate like that?

I guess its what you want out of your boat, car whatev . A well presented thing is good to look at and one should appreciate the effort that goes into it but I struggle to see the point in spending more time cleaning something that using it for its intended purpose.
Ha , on a similar line , the Mrs wants new carpet ,and to be fair we are about overdue as it is old and getting a bit thin in places, but Im resisting because I know that new carpet will be the end of me wandering inside with my boot or shoe on

I’m waxing have a 22’ Walkaround.
It takes me a good 8-10 hours to compound, clean and apply the first coat of wax. Wait a week, then another 2-3 hours to apply the second coat.

Collinite 885 is wet on wet application which requires application and removal by hand. A lot of work, but it only gets done once a year and the results are stunning.

The amount of suspended solids in saltwater is incredible. Between the salt and sand, it’s like running in 1,000 grit sand paper. You could literally fill a salt shaker with the dried salt off the gunnels at the end of the day.

I am an avid boater, but that sounds like way to much work....but...to each his own.

It’s the price of admission to play/fish in one of the most hostile environments on the planet.

It’s hard to understand until you witness a White Marlin tail walking behind the boat or hear the drag of a Penn 50 screaming under the pressure of a sounding #150 tuna on the end of the line. Then it all makes sense
