How’s it going guys guys. I have a 1975 Grady white that is in rough shape on the inside gunwales. I wanted to clean them up some because they are very oxidized. They are hard to clean stains and there seems to form some kinda black dots that are truly a nightmare to get off. Figured if I compound and wax them it would be easier to clean and would look a lot nicer. Any tips on what to use and what kind of machine would work best? Thanks

Those black stains and dots are mold. Once the gel coat becomes somewhat porous, there is always just enough of the mold left, after cleaning, to regenerate.

Use a black mold abatement product. Hint: Bleach does NOT kill mold.

Google Tilex. They have a nice website on what products work on different types of mold.
