How to remove trim unit Yamaha 200

I stripped threads on trim cylinder 92 Yamaha 200. To remove trim cylinder is it necessary to remove one side of transom bracket? Does it matter which side is removed? Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Yes, you will have to support the engine and remove either side of the bracket.
