You have a TON of work ahead of you. You will need to get inside and strip all the rotten wood AND probably remove all of the previous band aid repairs. Are you really in love and attached to that hull? There is ALLOT of work ahead and not cheap either.

Hi! I have to replace mine as well, and at first I thought it would be an impossible task. Then I took time (hours) to read many of the threads of people doing the exact same thing. Boat Restoration, Building, and Hull Repair

While the previous owner may have made your task harder by doing band aids, I would think it is still doable, and if you are doing the labor the cost should not be 'overboard'.

I suggest you read lots of the post mentioned above, and then listen to the experts on the iboats forums that have been there before you. It should be doable, just don't rush it and take your time. Do it right.

Yes and make sure to take precautions to keep the boat "true" and square. Take floor to rub rail measurements everywhereand floor to bottom of the transom.

You should also inspect the deck and stringers for rot!
